Family Vacation: The Surf

While on vacation last week (has it been a week? Sniff. Sniff.), my two oldest girls had the amazing opportunity to attend Hakilua Surf Camp, a ministry of my parent's church (Nags Head Church). Both girls were able to spend three solid hours with one on one instruction and had the best time. And, they both got up to a stand and rode a wave! How cool is that???

Hey Janet!

Love the surfing pics! We were just saying that we wanted to get my son some surfing lessons next year! They look like they are loving it!

Just curious, do they do some sort of group preaching while they surf or is it just a non religious surfing experience?
The girls look great up on those boards!

Cupcake...right in the middle of it they brought all the kids out of the water and had a quick devotional thing and then a lifeguart/beach EMT from their church gave a really good talk on ocean safety and riptides, etc. It was really well done.

Love the pics... the girls have great form! Your second daughter looks like a real time surfer chick in that third pic down!!! I'm jealous! :) I like looking at your blog because you guys are totally have a more rocking summer than I am. I got to see Amish for my "big" summer time fun!
